WWE is back with yet another PPV on a foreign land and I cannot hold my excitement. With red hot crowd and amazing match card, this PPV has the potential to be one of the best PPV of the year. So let’s jump right into it :

Men’s Money in the Bank Ladder match

I am a huge fan of ladder matches as well as multi-man matches and this match had 7 superstars going against one another in a ladder match so there was no doubt this match would disappoint me and it didn’t…! This match is always full of insane spots and this year was no different :

Ricochet diving through space between the ladder to outside

Frog splash by Logan Paul on Priest lying on ladder

450 splash by Ricochet on Butch and Santos lying on ladder

Moonsault by Butch from the tallest ladder on all superstars

Spanish Fly by Ricochet on Logan Paul to outside tables from mid rope which was INSANE

Falcon arrow by Priest to LA Knight from top of the ladder

WWE went ahead with Damien Priest winning the match which eventually met with a lot of criticism as everyone was behind LA Knight for this one. This came as a surprise to me also as lot of people were speculating that either LA Knight or Logan Paul was scheduled to win. Damien Priest should cash-in later tonight on Finn Balor after he finally defeats Seth Rollins and gets his revenge back. This could be the ultimate moment as Finn could lose the title again after just winning it back and we could see a more dangerous version of Balor ahead. Else, WWE will go the usual jealousy route where Balor will be jealous of Damien and latter somehow JD McDonagh will get involved one way or the other. 4 ⭐️ for this action packed match.

Women’s Tag Team Championship Match

Honestly, I could not have cared less for this match as women’s tag team titles have gone irrelevant lately but Baszler turning on Ronda was honestly shocking. They should try to cement a longer title reign going forward and put more tag teams into the main picture. It will be interesting to see Ronda Vs Baszler at Summerslam provided they build this rivalry properly. With both women from MMA background, fight pit match could be the perfect way to settle their rivalry. 3 ⭐️, extra half for Baszler turning on Ronda.

Gunther Vs Riddle for Intercontinental Championship

There was no way in hell that the longest reigning NXT UK Champion would be losing a match in UK on a PPV. Riddle was protected in this match as he was selling the foot injury which actually helped as he felt like a real threat to Gunther’s title reign. Riddle went after Gunther’s arm and Gunther was going after Riddle’s injured foot and it was a hard fought battle. Gunther retained the tittle with hard hitting chops followed by a leg lock on the injured foot which was the perfect way to end this bout. Following the match…the crowd went nuts with the return of Drew McIntyre…!!! Honestly, I would have loved to see a heel McIntyre but McIntyre Vs Gunther sounds fun too. Hoping to see a banger at SummerSlam. 3.5 ⭐ ️for this intercontinental title defence.

Cody Rhodes Vs Dominik Mysterio

Finally a right call was made as this match was moved from main event to mid card as there was no way anything can top the Bloodline Civil War tonight. Also this match had nothing to offer as not even for once did Dominik appeared as a threat to Cody even though Ripley tried everything in her power. They could have just added this match to the SmackDown as Cody really needed someone stronger after Brock Lesnar. 2.5 ⭐️ for this lacklustre match. Special mention to the return of John Cena as the crowd went nuts and blew the roof off O2 arena. Everybody loves CENA…❤️

Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match

What an amazing ladder match…5 ⭐️. This match was way better than the men’s ladder match due to various reasons which we will talk later but before that these were the highlights of the match :

Zelina using Trish as a pathway to climb the stair

Moonsault by Iyo Sky from top of the ladder

Becky-Trish rivalry continued

Manhandle Slam by Becky to Trish on the ladder was brutal

Zelina with a Code Red to Zoey Stark from top of the ladder on another ladder was insane…!

Bayley pushing Iyo’s ladder down when she almost had briefcase in her hand

Becky using handcuffs to bring Bayley down from top of the ladder by putting the other end of the handcuff in Bayley’s mouth…ouch…!

Iyo handcuffed Bayley and Becky on ladder and reached the briefcase by climbing on top of Bayley…just superb.

The match started a bit clumsy but as it went ahead it improved and improved. The ending was just top notch as it was innovative and also the right person won the match. This match was not just about spots as it had two tag teams, a rivalry and a not so perfect tag team. The Becky-Trish rivalry was continued brilliantly throughout the match where Zoey played her part perfectly with Trish. But on the other hand with Bayley and Iyo Sky it was every women for herself which was great to watch. It will be interesting to see how Bayley will move ahead with Damage Control after Iyo’s victory tonight. This was way better than men’s match…just WOW ❤️

Seth Rollins Vs Finn Balor for World Heavyweight Championship

Crowd singing Rollin’s theme always gives me goosebumps…and with UK’s crowd it just went to a whole another level ! Seth was seen selling the ribs injury which was caused by Finn Balor over the past few weeks but that was not enough for Balor to win the title. It was interesting to see Damien Priest walking down during the match as it was similar to Seth Rollins cashing in during Wrestlemania, but here instead of cashing-in, Damien sat down while the match was going on. During the closing moments, for a second it felt like Balor has it but then he got distracted by Damien and Seth stomped his face to the ground. It seemed like Damien did not want Balor to win the title as maybe he wanted to cash-in on Rollins? Will get more clarity on this on coming RAW but seems like Judgement Day’s time will be over sooner than expected. 4 ⭐️ for this yet another great title defence by Seth “Freakin” Rollins.

Bloodline Civil War

PURE CINEMA….5.5 ⭐️ !!!! It was USOS and the UK crowd Vs Roman and Solo right from the start of the match. The match had an usual slow start but the way story was told was just unbelievable. It had some great callbacks like Roman putting Jimmy in Guillotine back at Hell in a Cell to Jey kicking out of a pinfall with a low blow similar to what Roman does. The Spike+Spear combo by Roman and Solo was amazing but the kick out by USOS after Roman stacked one over the other took that moment to another level. Jey finally pinned the Tribal Chief after 3.5 years and thus ending the unbeatable Roman Reigns winning streak. It is crazy to think that Roman was last pinned in 2019…with this there is no doubt that Jey Uso is the man. He should be the one to dethrone Roman Reigns as it all makes sense now. He was the first one to join the Bloodline, he helped Roman building the empire and when it is all collapsing, he should be the one to take charge now. It is worth noting that Jey was also the first one to pin Roman on main roster also during his Shield days. What a crazy night it was…we might be seeing at Summerslam main event now…Jey Uso Vs Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship. Book it Triple H.
