WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 —Review and Grading — #MyOpinion

WWE is back with yet another stadium PLE at a foreign location and this time it is down under at Perth, Australia. In my opinion WWE could have used more of their superstars and made this PLE more hyped as they do during their Saudi events as only 4 matches were advertised for the main show..! Let’s jump straight into what happened exactly at Elimination Chamber Perth :

Women’s Elimination Chamber Match

Tiffany Straton was the MVP of this match as she took a brutal beating, was part of all the major bumps, eliminated Naomi and flew of the top of the chamber pod, I don’t think there was anything left for her to do other than win the match. They kind of gave away the winner of this match as we had a great standoff between Rhea and Becky at the press conference but still the crowd was happy for Becky. Liv Morgan was also phenomenal and should definitely be given one more run with the championship soon, it is long due. Overall it was a fun match to get things started but I was honestly expecting more and even the ending sucked as everything happened in the blink of an eye. It would be interesting now as we may get this Wrestlemania without the EST, maybe a heel turn for Bianca? Or she will go after the tag titles? There is no way Bianca is missing this year’s Wrestlemania. 3 ⭐️ for this elimination chamber match.

New Catch Republic Vs The Judgement Day for Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

It was an amazing solid tag team match with some close calls and a great finish. First talking about the challengers, it is a treat every time to watch both Tyler and Pete work together, they have great chemistry and some interesting double team moves. They came across as a legit threat to the Judgement Day but fell short, still they proved they can perform at the highest level. Talking about the Judgement Day’s tag team title reign, it had some interesting matches but overall I think they are lost in the mix. Special mention to Dominic as he is coming out as one of the best heels seen in a long time as the boos are getting louder and louder. Along with this, his selling just makes it bloody brilliant..! It looks as if now we might get Miz & R-Truth Vs The Judgement Day. But to do that, I would love to see R-Truth bring a split personality kind of thing and just go to town on Judgement Day. This comic avatar of R-truth might not be enough to get those titles. But overall it was a well paced match which crowd loved..! 4 ⭐️ for a great title defence.

The Waller Effect with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins

I was kind of hoping that either Rock or Roman will appear via satellite on the big screen as the boos would have been through the roof. But that did not happen and we kind of moved an inch towards the Wrestlemania Night 1 main event which could be Cody & Seth Vs Rock & Roman. Seth mentioned he would be medically cleared soon and Cody mentioned that he wanted to fight Rock. So, it will be interesting to see which route WWE takes now as Cody will not go without getting his hands on The Rock. Also, Austin Theory travelled all the way to Australia just to get a Cody Cutter and Stomp while his best friend watches…that was fun 😅 3.5 ⭐️ for this fun Waller Effect.

Men’s Elimination Chamber Match

Holy hell…finally a crazy elimination chamber match with multiple stories unfolding. It looks like Drew will finally finish his story this time and have his moment in front of 70K+ crowd, a perfect choice for Seth’s championship. AJ Styles entered the chamber when referees were checking on Lashley after his elimination and attacked LA Knight with multiple chair shots. It means only one thing…AJ Styles vs LA Knight at Wrestlemania is confirmed. KO and Logan Paul continued their rivalry and were fighting all over the chamber. During the finishing moments of the match, after Randy delivered the RKO to Drew, Logan punched Randy with brass knuckles and knocked him out. WWE may be looking for a triple threat at Wrestelemania with Randy Vs Logan Vs KO for US championship. I would love to see this match, only if Randy wins 😅 4.5 ⭐️ for this match.

PS : That spear by Bobby Lashley to Logan through the pod was brilliantly executed reminded me of that Goldberg spear.

Women’s World Championship Match

First of all, at a time where you had such a stacked men’s elimination chamber match with people like Randy, Drew, KO etc, props to WWE for making this match the main event. Rhea Ripley deserved this match in her country and there is no great feeling then main eventing and retaining the title in front of your own people. It was by far Nia Jax’s career best match which I have witnessed. She was dominant and that samoan drop on the announcer table with the monitors was brutal. Rhea also came strong and that superplex during the closing moments was devastating. I had a feeling that WWE might bring Becky to close the show but that would have shifted the spotlight from Rhea. Great ending to a brilliant PLE. 4 ⭐️ for Rhea’s title defence.
