So it might be a little late but I just wanted to write about this special day dedicated to the most special person in our lives…MOM. Lucky are those people who are fortune enough to celebrate this auspicious day in their lives and happily I am one of those. Thanks for all things that you have done and hats off for all the things that you do on a daily basis as you mothers are no less than a superwoman…🙌

People don’t realise but the job of housewife/homemaker is one of the toughest job in the world as there is no 9 to 5 shift in this job. There are no holidays, no paid leaves and even no relaxation on weekends. But whether it is the household chores or spending time with her loved ones…she is just perfect in every aspect available. Her cooking skills are just incredible as she is master in cooking all varieties of food whether it be veg, non-veg, regional, south-indian and what not. It is one of the reasons for me not getting six packs abs, but who can blame her 😅 Her face just glows when she is in colours, isn’t it…?

One of the most impressive quality of her is the time management. She assigns and delivers all of her tasks on time on a daily basis which is a commendable quality which even I lack sometimes. I guess she has some sort of hourly deadlines defined for herself so that none of us skip a meal or get late for our work. Doing all these tasks for a day or two is feasible but maintaining this schedule on a daily basis is just commendable. Hats off and a big shoutout to all the mothers out there. My mother rarely travels as she is always busy in household work, but when she does travel…she travels in style 😎

Getting a dog was a childhood dream for my brother and myself which we were able to complete when Snoopy came into our lives. As usual, my mother was not very supportive of this decision initially but ultimately Snoopy became a part of the family. She always makes sure he is fed properly and he is well taken care of even though he can be a pain in the..!

My mother is not a degree holder nor she is an intellectual but she has taught me the most things in my life. I learnt how to build relationships, maintain down to earth attitude and most importantly the sacrifices one has to make for their loved ones. It is not always happy scenes between my mother and me, we do have arguments but there is a line which I never cross and if I do, I make sure I make up for such behaviour.

Once again a very happy mother’s day to you and all the mothers out there who are giving it all for their families. A reminder to all the people that it is not about just putting a status on social media or writing an article, spend time with your mother, listen to her, talk to her and most important never ever hurt her.
