I moved to Chennai from Assam in 2012 during my 10th class
Our first conversation was during PTM, where I got to know whether I failed or pass
Everyone told me that you are a dancer of high calibre
I thought I know little dancing too, our JODI for dancing will be superb
That memory of texting you for the first time on your birthday is still picture clear
As you know I am shy so I had some fear
But your response to my wish was comforting and sweet
I had different opinion before that, but talking to you was a treat
I came to know about the things which you had to go through in the past
So I just wanted to make you smile and feel happy as long as I last
Our friendship grew stronger and we became best buds during those two years
We were together in everything whether it was those laughter riots or those tears
Then we went to different colleges and made friends who were new
Enjoyed our college life with them but those moments were very few
I met many people, but was not able to connect like I connected with you
That could be because I was missing our school time and everything was new
We still remained in touch and knew what the other person was up to
Still while figuring out in life, what we are supposed to do
During that time, you followed your dancing and became super famous in college
I saw the videos, but I always wanted to watch it live on stage
Finally you pursued your dream and had your own class of dance
Thank you for inviting me to the event, I am so lucky I got that chance
You even invited me to your college during your time of FEST
I was pretty nervous as it was your college and I had to give my best
I am sorry I never invited you to my college for any event
But it was not my fault, you know my college had no source of entertainment
I remember the time when I told you I got my first job
You were happier than me and I thought, I have reached the top
You tried your hand at different places and worked really hard
You were rewarded in the end which meant now we had to be apart
So now we are in new places with work in our hand
I know it was unexpected and not at all planned
I got the thing which you wanted and you wanted mine
But I think we both can manage and we will be fine
