FATHER/DAD/PAPA — NAAM TO SUNA HI HOGA
According to me, fathers are not given as much as credit as they deserve. Fathers think practically while the mothers think emotionally, and this is what makes all the difference. It is a well known thing that Father-daughter and Mother-son pairs are more prominent in this world, but this should not be the case. Obviously one can have favorites, but one should be able to open up to both of their parents, and this is where boys will always put father’s as their second choice. Why so??? Usually boys think that after a certain age, their father start interfering in their lives, but what they don’t understand is that this was always the case and this thing what they call interfering is actually their father showing them the right path. What was earlier a life lesson soon turns into a lecture because we think we know the world better. Fortunately that is not the case with me as I share a lovely bond with my father. So, today I thought of writing about him on this joyous occasion of Father’s day.
People who know my father, know how awesome he is. This is not because I am writing so I have to call him awesome, it is actually the other way around, he is awesome that’s why I am writing about him. My father is a retired defense personnel and most of the people have this perception that defense people are only strict people with high level of discipline. That is only partial true as my father is equally fun and full of joy. I remember him shouting at me for something which I would have done wrong but I also remember him kissing and nurturing me whenever required. Actually I think my father know of all the “activities” which I go/ am going through, but he only gives his advice whenever required. He trusts me with his full heart and I pray to GOD that trust is always there. I once asked him regarding his reaction on what if he saw me alone walking with a girl in our campus, and his response was that he will ask me whether I am planning to come home or not ☺ He has a great sense of humor as there is always a sense of positivity whenever he is around. I always feel like there is no problem that my father cannot handle. I thought of writing a short poem regarding my feelings for all the fathers on this day:
Don’t know why fathers are remembered only today,
Our whole life would not be enough to return the love which they gave to us, even if we start today
Sometimes he may seem controlling, irritating and act like a rude one,
But it is only because, he cares for us as and no matter how old we grow, we will always be his little one
Gave us everything we want and never asked for anything in return
We always dreamt of gifting him whatever he wants, when we earn
Taught us how to face this world on our own
I know we are too busy, but at least we can spare some time and call them daily on their phone
Got angry on us for scoring less in our exams during our school
Because he wanted us to do good in life as this world is very cruel
Be with him, make him proud, tell him you love him as unlike sun, he will not be till eternity
Learn good things from him which you can teach during your time of paternity
So a very happy father’s day to all the fathers who are reading this article around the globe!!!! You did a great job and that’s why we are celebrating today this day today ☺ And a very happy father’s day to my father, you rock papa as always ☺☺☺
